Brief Feedback on Project 2 Interim:
The most important feedback I received in this tutorial was to take a few moments during all projects to refocus myself on the single purpose of the drawing or model. This is important for me because I get distracted by many different ideas that I wish to explore in a project, however, for the sake of clarity and developed studies, I must draw back my ideas to examine single ideas.
Material Study (Exterior Glazing):
The main feedback I received in my study of this aspect was to reduce the focus and detail I explored in the old house; to properly highlight the impact of the exterior angled glazing. Through leaving some detail on the old house axonometric I aimed to highlight the stockiness and harsh barrier it creates from the outside, however this left the study cluttered and un-focussed.
The Psychological Relationships (Rooms in the Old House looking out from above)
This study was received much better as in particular my sketch-like drawings of the two rooms showed their focus out through their stripped back, structural openings. Through discussing with the tutor we both came to the conclusion that a sectional view showing these rooms placement above the garden would be very effective.
Circulation
The exploded axonometric I created highlighted the strong horizontal lines of circulation that run through the house towards the garden. However, it was brought to my attention that although these lines were clear, the purpose of this strong line of circulation is not so evident and consequently this is something I need to work on.
