The In Class task for week 2 of this workshop was both enjoyable and made me think about the different ways in which to conceive space and light and how we represent this. The first task was to represent images shown on the studio's TV screen through thinking about negative and positive space. This provided a big challenge to me as I have no artistic background, however the task was very successful in making me consider shadows which I then used in my rendering of the final submission. The second task was to do a single line drawing of an object or feature outside the red centre. I found this task very enjoyable and will use it in the future as through using single line sketches we can observe the real power, emotion and movement of certain objects. Finally, the practice perspective drawings prepared me for the 3d drawings that were a part of the final submission and allowed me to practice these techniques over the mid-semester break.
